Patch 5.01 with Pearl in competitive mode will launch on July 12. Riot Games also fixed some bugs with maps and agents and explained the rules change for the competitive party queue due to the new rank. Please remember that the "less harsh" reset is unique to this Episode because of the introduction of Ascendant. Next time we reset ranks it will probably push you down more than this Episode's reset. So because we are pushing the player base upwards to fill Ascendant, the reset will not hit you as hard. Here's is how the shift should feel like:ĭue to the seasonal reset, you may not see a rank increase at the start of the Episode without putting in some work but the reset will be "less harsh" compared to the last Episode reset. The Ascendant is likely to be filled with lower ranks rather than higher ones after the Episode rank reset. The MMR frames will change because of this shift and will change their perception.
Valorant’s new map Pearl will launch on June 22, alongside the start of Episode 5, Act 1.Ascendant is a new rank between Diamond and Immortal. Split will still be available in Custom games and the alternate game modes like Spike Rush and Escalation.
